Here's your second assignment!
These are photos of the IRT.
Using what you know about the space from your GP and these additional dimensions and photos, draw two sections of the space. One down the centerline (facing STAGE RIGHT - the mirrored wall), and one just upstage of the proscenium line ( showing the back wall).
Draw these sections on a Design Layer (“Theatre Architecture”), but before emailing it, FORMAT TO PRINT in 1/2” Scale on a new 24x36 Sheet Layer. Make sure to label your drawing, and add a title block. Use Viewports.
TOTAL HEIGHT OF MIRRORS including moulding +7’1”
HEIGHT OF BOTTOM MOULDING, 5 1/2" . HEIGHT OF TOP MOULDING 3 1/2",
In the photos you can see the bottom moulding, but the top moulding is covered by a skinny black curtain.
Don’t draw that curtain, draw the moulding.
EACH MIRROR PANEL IS 2'6" WIDE
DISTANCE FROM MIRROR TO CONDUIT PIPE ABOVE: 1'4 1/2"
HEIGHT FROM STAGE FLOOR TO TOP OF GRID: 10'0", HEIGHT TO CEILING: 12'
In the Upstage Right corner of the stage is a nook with shelving.
In the photos you just see the large black curtain that covers it.
Draw both the curtain and the shelves behind it.
SHELVES ON BACK WALL ARE 2' APART AND MADE OF 3/4" PLYWOOD
LOOK CAREFULLY AT THE PHOTOS:
THE BACK WALL IS A COMBINATION OF CINDERBLOCK WALL
AND (FLAT) DRYWALLCOLUMNS. FIND A WAY TO SHOW THIS TEXTURE DIFFERENCE IN YOUR DRAWING
